Crewmembers from Coast Guard Station South Padre Island practice interdiction techniques with a 33-foot high-speed law enforcement boat and a 30-foot small boat. The station received three of these high-speed boats to enhance the unit’s law enforcement capabilities. This style of 30-foot small boat is commonly used by drug smugglers and fishermen illegally dropping nets in U.S. waters.
