JHI Steamship continues fleet push with Japanese LR2 newbuild

Greek owner JHI Steamship has expanded its growing newbuilding programme with an LR2 tanker order at Japan’s Imabari Shipbuilding. The Athens-based company has contracted a 115,000 dwt scrubber-fitted unit at Imabari’s Marugame yard for delivery in 2028. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
