Enesel revealed as VLCC seller to DHT

Enesel Shipping, run by Greek brothers Andonis and Filippos Lemos, has been identified as the seller of last week’s tanker deal of the week.

On Thursday DHT Holdings revealed that it had bagged a 2018-built VLCC for $94.5m, without disclosing who the seller was and which ship.

Over the weekend, details of the ship and the seller have been revealed. The ship is the Hyundai Heavy-built
Maria P Lemos, a ship ordered for $83m together with three other sisters in 2017.

The tanker has earned the seller millions. According to Clarksons Research, in July 2021, tw three-year younger -at time of sale – sister vessels from the same yard were sold en bloc for $90m each.
