Yemen Red Sea Ports corporation Denied the Allegations of the Aggression to Detain Ships

Yemen Red Sea Ports corporation denied the allegations of the aggression by holding 10 oil Tankers and commercial vessels in the port of Hodeida and preventing them from unloading. Hodeida port said in a statement received by the (Saba news agency) that the claims of the (hotel government in Saudi-Riad) and the countries of the aggression alliance that the port of Hodeida is holding the ships is completely untrue. The port of Hodeida does not hold any ship and work with all employees and workers to unload ships quickly and without delay, as usually. The statement pointed out that the ship (DISTYA PUSHTI), which referred to the claims of its detention, which was carrying (20896) Tons of diesel and oil, reached the Hodeida’s port anchorage area on 27/9/2018 and was berthed inside the port on 28/9/2018 And left the port. The ship (RINA), which carries 5,000 Tons and 700 Tons of flour and sugar, berthed inside the port of Hodeida on 3/10/2018 and is still unloading its cargo till today with the facilities and equipment available at the port. The statement pointed out that the ship (SINCERO), which arrive to Hodeida port anchorage area on 26/9/2018 loaded with (15025) Ton of diesel and berthed inside Hodeida port on 5/10/2018 and still discharging its cargoes. The statement pointed out that the ship (CARPE DIEM-2), which arrive to Hodeida port anchorage area on 30/9/2018 loaded with (19350) Ton of diesel is still in the anchorage area waiting to enter and discharge its cargo according to the regulation followed in Hodeida port. The statement also pointed out that the vessel (P V T EAGLE), which arrive to Hodeida port anchorage area on 3/10/2018 loaded with (6797) Ton of diesel and (14955) Ton of petroleum is still in the anchorage area waiting its turn to berth inside the port. Hodeida port confirmed that the port of Hodeida operates around the clock within the mechanism of regular entry of ships to the port by the time and date of arriving to the anchorage area with high professionalism. The statement also stressed that the Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation suffers from the consequences of the siege imposed by the coalition of aggression since March 2015, as well as the bombing that destroyed the superstructure of the port in August 2015. The statement pointed out Hodeida port is still doing his national and humanitarian duty devotionally and seriously, and dedicate all its possibility to serve the ships coming to it, to insure the continuation of the work to keep providing the basic and necessary essential materials for Yemenis people. The statement appealed to the United Nations humanitarian coordinators and international organizations to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and lift the siege on Yemen Red Sea Ports to avoid the humanitarian disaster, which the United Nations warned and still warning about it .
