French container shipping major CMA CGM has taken delivery of CMA CGM Sinnamary, a Sub-Panamax newbuild vessel. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2,300 TEU ship was built at\u00a0Jiangsu New Yangzijiang shipyard in China.<\/p>\n

The Cyprus-flagged containership has left Shanghai<\/a> and will soon operate on the company’s NEFGUI service that connects French Guyana and Brazil to Northern Europe, CMA CGM said on its social media platforms.<\/p>\n

CMA CGM Sinnamary was ordered by Credit Agricole back in 2017 as part of a three-vessel order. Its sister ships, CMA CGM Kourou and Douce France were completed by Jiangsu Yangzijiang earlier this year, according to data provided by VesselsValue.<\/p>\n

CMA CGM Kourou and CMA CGM Sinnamary are commercially controlled by CMA CGM, while Douce France is controlled by Marfret. Credit Agricole is the beneficial owner of all three ships.<\/p>\n

CMA CGM Sinnamary is similar to CMA CGM’s Guyanamax series<\/a> of containerships built by South Korea\u2019s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard which are also positioned on the NEFGUI line. <\/p>\n
