Christian said the new service further strengthens New Orleans\u2019 direct connectivity and offers additional options. \u201cWe are thrilled to welcome Evergreen\u2019s new service to the Port and for the opportunity to provide our shippers with increased global connectivity through Evergreen\u2019s extensive network of services in Panama.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>In New Orleans, the new service will be handled by terminal operator Ports America at the Napoleon Avenue Container Terminal. The direct ports of call will be Manzanillo, Colon, Kingston and Port Au Prince with connections to\/from Asia, West Coast South America and the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe addition of the Evergreen service at this time underscores confidence in Port NOLA\u2019s and our terminal operators\u2019 ability to move cargo throughout the COVID-19 global pandemic challenges, keeping the health and safety of our frontline employees top of mind,\u201d Christian said.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Florida International Terminal at Port Everglades is the marine terminal operator for Evergreen, which has ships slated for arrival on weekends beginning \u00a0May 2, 2020.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib\" style=\"width: 711px;\"><span class=\"fr-img-wrap\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imagesedit.marinelink.com\/images\/storage\/w800h461\/caj.jpg\"><span class=\"fr-inner\"><em>(Image: Evergreen Line)<\/em><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>maritime professional<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Evergreen Line has launched a new weekly container service between South America, the Caribbean and the U.S. mainland.
