{"id":8763,"date":"2020-04-27T21:07:22","date_gmt":"2020-04-27T18:07:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/dynacom-takes-nyk-vlcc\/8763\/"},"modified":"2020-04-27T21:07:22","modified_gmt":"2020-04-27T18:07:22","slug":"dynacom-takes-nyk-vlcc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/dynacom-takes-nyk-vlcc\/8763\/","title":{"rendered":"Dynacom takes NYK VLCC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>Greek owner George Procopiou\u2019s Dynacom Tankers has acquired the 2005-built VLCC Takasaki from Japanese owner NYK.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>According to <em>Clarksons<\/em> report, the Japanese-built crude tanker was sold for a price of $37.3m, lower than MSI\u2019s valuation of <span style=\"color:#00adeb;\" class=\"msi_tooltip\" data-msiurl=\"https:\/\/www.msiltd.com\" data-imo=\"https:\/\/splash247.com\/9320831\">$39.7m<\/span><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:none\" src=\"https:\/\/splash247.com\/9320831\"> and VesselsValue\u2019s valuation of $38.18m.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Clarkson said the deal is a further evidence of a firming market.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Dynacom has been actively expanding its fleet recently, having acquired another Japanese VLCC <em>Yugawasan<\/em> from NS United Kaiun earlier this month and <a href=\"https:\/\/splash247.com\/dynacom-contracts-for-bargain-pair-of-dalian-vlccs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #000080;\">a pair of resale VLCCs<\/span><\/a> from DSIC in March.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Dynacom currently operates a fleet of 61 tankers and has another six on order.<\/p>\n<p>splash247<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Greek owner George Procopiou\u2019s Dynacom Tankers has acquired the 2005-built VLCC Takasaki from Japanese owner NYK.
