Singapore shipmanagement firm Norstar Ship Management (NSM) has appointed Lars Gr\u00fcnitz as its new managing director, replacing Christopher Kirton who Splash<\/em> understands left to be closer to family.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gr\u00fcnitz brings with him over 15 years experience in the shipping industry, and was most recently head of vessel management and process improvement for Berge Bulk. Gr\u00fcnitz has also had stints with Thome Ship Management, Arpeni Pratama Ocean Line and GL.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Tom Bonehill, managing director of parent company Norstar Shipping (Asia), commented: \u201cWith Lars\u2019 appointment we will continue our focus on engaging with strategic partners in our different areas of activity across the Group. We have always seen NSM as a unique platform with an owner\u2019s approach to ship management. Our technical management is a resource to be shared with partners in the industry with an absolute focus on safety and the control of cost and quality.
