We are very pleased to be able to introduce renewable liquefied biogas into our fuel mix. This opportunity supports our high-end sustainability requirements,\u201d <\/em>Anna Karin Klinth\u00e4ll, Manager Trading Operations at Preem, commented.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>As informed, this is the first agreement that involves Gasum delivering a blend containing renewable fuel to a maritime client on a regular basis. It is expected to contribute to lowering greenhouse gas emissions even further.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Using LNG as maritime fuel reduces emissions significantly compared to conventional fuel, such as heavy fuel oil. It improves local air quality and reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by up to 20 percent when compared to conventional fuel.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>By using 100 percent LBG, the emissions of greenhouse gas will be reduced even further. LBG reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 85 percent when compared to fossil fuels.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cGasum is committed to working for a carbon-neutral future and helping our customers to reduce their own carbon footprint by providing cleaner energy.
