{"id":6572,"date":"2020-03-20T18:28:24","date_gmt":"2020-03-20T15:28:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/capital-ship-management-vlcc-released-from-arrest\/6572\/"},"modified":"2020-03-20T18:28:24","modified_gmt":"2020-03-20T15:28:24","slug":"capital-ship-management-vlcc-released-from-arrest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/capital-ship-management-vlcc-released-from-arrest\/6572\/","title":{"rendered":"Capital Ship Management VLCC released from arrest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>Greek owner Capital Ship Management has announced that its VLCC tanker <span style=\"color:#00adeb;\" class=\"mt_tooltip\" data-mturl=\"\/en\/ais\/details\/ships\/shipid:5839614\/mmsi:636018813\/vessel:5839614\" data-mmsi=\"636018813\" data-imo=\"9830812\" data-dwt=\"320785\" data-yob=\"2019\" data-typename=\"Crude Oil Tanker\" data-typecolor=\"8\" data-countrycode=\"LR\" data-country=\"Liberia\" data-info=\"Crude Oil Tanker [LR]\" data-photourl=\"https:\/\/photos.marinetraffic.com\/ais\/showphoto.aspx?shipid=5839614\" data-assetname=\"ANBAR\" data-assettype=\"Vessel\">Andronikos<\/span><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:none\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.marinetraffic.com\/ais\/showphoto.aspx?shipid=5839614\"> has been released from arrest in Singapore and has resumed trading after the owners\u2019 P&amp;I Club posted security.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The ship, together with an additional five VLCCs, were redelivered to Capital after Al-Iraqia Shipping Services &amp; Oil Trading (AISSOT) <a href=\"https:\/\/splash247.com\/aissot-terminates-vlcc-charters-with-capital-ship-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #000080;\">terminated the contracts<\/span><\/a> for the vessels in February, while\u00a0the<em> Andronikos<\/em> was arrested as security for unsubstantiated market-related damages.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>At the time AISSOT terminated the charter, the <em>Andronikos<\/em> had about another six years duration remaining under the contract.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Capital Ship Management claimed that AISSOT chose to redeliver the vessels on February 22 under dire market conditions and saw the action as a clear effort to disprupt the owner\u2019s business.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The company is now pursuing appropriate sanctions against AISSOT and its relevant executives.<\/p>\n<p>splash247<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Greek owner Capital Ship Management has announced that its VLCC tanker Andronikos has been released from arrest in Singapore and has resumed trading after the owners\u2019 P&amp;I Club posted security.
