{"id":6294,"date":"2020-03-16T21:01:55","date_gmt":"2020-03-16T18:01:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/nyk-establishes-first-dedicated-roro-terminal-in-egypt\/6294\/"},"modified":"2020-03-16T21:01:55","modified_gmt":"2020-03-16T18:01:55","slug":"nyk-establishes-first-dedicated-roro-terminal-in-egypt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/nyk-establishes-first-dedicated-roro-terminal-in-egypt\/6294\/","title":{"rendered":"NYK establishes first dedicated roro terminal in Egypt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p>Japan\u2019s Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), together with Bollor\u00e9 Africa Logistics (Bollor\u00e9) and Toyota Tsusho Corporation (Toyota Tsusho), has signed an agreement with the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone to set up and operate a dedicated automotive terminal at East Port Said in Egypt.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe automotive market in Egypt is expected to expand along with population growth and economic development, and the Alexandria port, which currently handles almost all of Egypt\u2019s vehicle imports, is a multipurpose port that sees a variety of cargo and lacks storage space,\u201d NYK stated in a release today.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The new terminal will be Egypt\u2019s first exclusive roro terminal, and it will have a wharf area that allows two large pure car and truck carriers (PCTC)s to berth simultaneously.
