Michael Gilday visited the company\u2019s Ingalls Shipbuilding division.<\/p>\n<p>During his visit, Gilday toured the shipyard facility and received an overview of infrastructure improvements as well as an update on shipbuilding programs. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Adm. Gilday, who was sworn in as the Nation\u2019s 32nd chief of naval operations in August 2019, also met with crew-members of ships currently under construction or modernization at Ingalls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlong with Mississippi\u2019s two U.S. Senators, Sen. Roger Wicker and Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith, the CNO got a firsthand look at all four classes of ships we are building for the Navy and Coast Guard. Visits like this give our outstanding team of shipbuilders the opportunity to show off their craftsmanship and commitment to our Navy.
