{"id":4373,"date":"2020-01-25T23:17:40","date_gmt":"2020-01-25T20:17:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/?p=4373"},"modified":"2020-01-25T23:17:41","modified_gmt":"2020-01-25T20:17:41","slug":"united-heavy-lift-adds-eleven-ships-to-its-fleet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/united-heavy-lift-adds-eleven-ships-to-its-fleet\/4373\/","title":{"rendered":"United Heavy Lift Adds Eleven Ships to Its Fleet"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"content\">\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Hamburg-based multipurpose shipping company United Heavy Lift GmbH (UHL) has taken over a heavy lift fleet of nine Zeamarine eco-friendly F900 newbuilds and purchased an additional two 12,000 dwt vessels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The F900 ships in question are UHL Falcon, UHL Flash, UHL Fortune, UHL Future, UHL Fame, UHL Fast, UHL Focus, UHL Frontier and UHL Fusion, according to the company\u2019s fleet data.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The nine vessels were reportedly chartered to Zeamarine under a leasing deal with CSSC Shipping but they will now work for UHL.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cOur mission is to expand our company\u2019s position as front-runners for an eco-friendly heavy lift shipping industry,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Lars Rolner, founder of UHL, explained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cThe fleet of nine newbuilding F900 vessels is a perfect match for our sustainability policy\u2026 The carbon emission of the eco-friendly F900 vessels is 30- 50% lower compared to the existing heavy lift fleet in the market.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Rolner, the company\u2019s current newbuilding program focuses on\u00a0<em>\u201cadvanced and most modern\u201d<\/em>\u00a0propulsion systems, in line with the UHL\u2019s strategy aimed at reducing its carbon footprint.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The nine vessels have a crane capacity of 900 million tons, a hold of 105.45 meters x 20 meters, and a deck of 125 meters x 25 meters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What is more, the company revealed it bought two 2010-built multipurpose vessels, Zea Mahaweli and Zea Kelani, that would be renamed Veronica and Valentina, respectively. Both units will be entering into the West Africa service UHL is operating together with its partner Marguesa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">UHL plans to further expand its heavy-lift fleet in February by acquiring one more vessel named Spring.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cThe past half year, we have expanded our market presence by establishing offices in Kuala Lumpur and Bergen, Tokyo and Houston will be following in February and March,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0UHL informed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cThe expansion is made in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/283101\/united-heavy-lift-ocean7-projects-open-joint-office-in-norway\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a joint venture with Ocean 7<\/a>\u00a0and the offices will be operating under the name United O7.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Germany\u2019s United Group comprises three closely linked companies \u2014\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/156435\/new-player-enters-heavy-lift-market\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">United Heavy Lift (UHL)<\/a>, United Wind Logistics (UWL) and United Engineering Solutions (UES).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"post_share_buttons\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hamburg-based multipurpose shipping company United Heavy Lift GmbH (UHL) has taken over a heavy lift fleet of nine Zeamarine eco-friendly F900 newbuilds and purchased an additional two 12,000 dwt vessels.
