{"id":4321,"date":"2020-01-19T18:38:21","date_gmt":"2020-01-19T15:38:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/?p=4321"},"modified":"2020-01-19T18:39:21","modified_gmt":"2020-01-19T15:39:21","slug":"diana-shipping-secures-work-for-kamsarmax-bulker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/diana-shipping-secures-work-for-kamsarmax-bulker\/4321\/","title":{"rendered":"Diana Shipping Secures Work for Kamsarmax Bulker"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"content\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Athens-based dry bulk vessel owner, Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Aquavita International S.A., for one of its Kamsarmax ships, the m\/v Astarte.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The gross charter rate for the 81,513 dwt bulker is USD 11,750 per day for a period of minimum fourteen to about sixteen months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As informed, the charter for the 2013-built Kamsarmax is expected to commence on January 18, 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since October 2018, Astarte\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/262782\/dianas-astarte-to-continue-working-for-glencore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has worked<\/a>\u00a0for Glencore Agriculture B.V. at a gross charter rate of USD 14,250 per day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The new employment is anticipated to generate approximately USD 4.94 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter, Diana Shipping said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Upon completion of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/288670\/diana-shipping-offloads-14-year-old-panamax\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the previously announced sale<\/a>\u00a0of one Panamax dry bulk vessel, the m\/v Calipso, Diana Shipping\u2019s fleet comprise 41 dry bulk vessels.
