{"id":3824,"date":"2019-11-23T16:20:30","date_gmt":"2019-11-23T13:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/?p=3824"},"modified":"2019-11-23T16:20:32","modified_gmt":"2019-11-23T13:20:32","slug":"monjasa-renames-ten-owned-bunker-tankers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/monjasa-renames-ten-owned-bunker-tankers\/3824\/","title":{"rendered":"Monjasa Renames Ten Owned Bunker Tankers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Danish bunker company Monjasa has decided to rename its fleet of ten owned tankers following\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/282257\/monjasa-takes-full-ownership-of-five-bunker-tankers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the acquisition of five vessels<\/a>\u00a0earlier this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Three of the ten vessels \u2014 Monjasa Performer, Monjasa Supplier and Monjasa Ranger \u2014 have already been renamed, according to the company.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The remaining bunker tankers \u2014 Monjasa Promoter, Monjasa Partner, Monjasa Provider, Monjasa Chaser, Monjasa Sprinter, Monjasa Striker and Monjasa Runner \u2014 will follow suit in connection with their scheduled dry dockings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Monjasa has been securing modern tonnage to support the International Maritime Organization (IMO) 2020 low-sulphur fuel transition. All five tankers are equipped with features such as onboard segregation of several fuel types.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cAlready at this point of the IMO 2020 transition, we experience increased supply flexibility from delivering up to three different fuel grades from the same vessel,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Monjasa explained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cAs such, these recent tanker acquisitions benefit Monjasa from both an operational and financial perspective across core markets in the Arabian Gulf, West Africa and the Panama Canal.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What is more, the current docking of Monjasa Ranger includes the completion of Monjasa\u2019s first ballast water treatment system (BWTS) installation in line with the IMO convention.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Monjasa currently operates a fleet of some 20 chartered and owned tankers of various capacities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Danish bunker company Monjasa has decided to rename its fleet of ten owned tankers following\u00a0the acquisition of five vessels\u00a0earlier this year.
