{"id":34396,"date":"2023-08-05T02:52:34","date_gmt":"2023-08-04T23:52:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/concordia-maritime-left-with-one-ship-following-latest-sales\/34396\/"},"modified":"2023-08-05T02:52:34","modified_gmt":"2023-08-04T23:52:34","slug":"concordia-maritime-left-with-one-ship-following-latest-sales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/concordia-maritime-left-with-one-ship-following-latest-sales\/34396\/","title":{"rendered":"Concordia Maritime left with one ship following latest sales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-before-post\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>Concordia Maritime\u2019s fleet sellout continues, leaving the Stena-backed Swedish tanker player with one ship remaining.<\/p>\n<p>The Erik Lewenhaupt-led company has offloaded the 2011-built product tanker <em>Stena Premium<\/em> and the 2009-built <em>Stena Progress<\/em> to undisclosed buyers.<\/p>\n<p>No price has been revealed but the Gothenburg-based owner said the deal would generate a liquidity supplement of around SEK100m ($9.3m) after repayment of loans and liabilities to related parties.<\/p>\n<p>Both ships, estimated by VesselsValue to be worth $53.5m in total, are under a time charter with Stena Bulk and further fixed out on contracts that run until autumn and winter 2024, which will now be taken over by the buyer. <\/p>\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-in-post-middle\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>In May, Concordia Maritime sold its 2010-built post panamax products carrier\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/splash247.com\/concordia-maritime-offloads-product-tanker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stena Penguin<\/a><\/span>. After the latest sale, the company\u2019s fleet will consist of the 2010-built <em>Stena Polaris<\/em>, which is on a bareboat contract to US Crowley Government Services, with extension options until the end of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the sale, we continue to take advantage of the strong market and the high prices for older vessels, said Lewenhaupt, adding: \u201cAs previously announced, we are working intensively to chart the company\u2019s future direction and business.
