{"id":32685,"date":"2023-02-10T08:48:47","date_gmt":"2023-02-10T05:48:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/662m-made-available-for-american-port-development\/32685\/"},"modified":"2023-02-10T08:48:47","modified_gmt":"2023-02-10T05:48:47","slug":"662m-made-available-for-american-port-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/662m-made-available-for-american-port-development\/32685\/","title":{"rendered":"$662m made available for American port development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-before-post\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>The US Department of Transportation\u2019s Maritime Administration (MARAD) has made $662m available for port infrastructure development this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerica\u2019s ports play a central role in our supply chains,\u201d said US transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg. \u201cWith today\u2019s announcement, we are helping make our ports safer, more efficient, and more reliable\u2014strengthening supply chains, reducing costs for the American people, and positioning us for economic success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Grants will be awarded on a competitive basis to support projects that improve the safety, efficiency, or reliability of the movement of goods through ports and intermodal connections to ports.
