{"id":3231,"date":"2019-10-04T10:58:01","date_gmt":"2019-10-04T07:58:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/?p=3231"},"modified":"2019-10-04T10:58:04","modified_gmt":"2019-10-04T07:58:04","slug":"new-president-and-ceo-to-take-over-at-norwegian-cruise-line","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/new-president-and-ceo-to-take-over-at-norwegian-cruise-line\/3231\/","title":{"rendered":"New President and CEO to Take Over at Norwegian Cruise Line"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Norwegian Cruise Line has made organizational changes, scheduled to be implemented following the launch of Norwegian Encore, the company\u2019s newest cruise ship.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These changes include the planned departure of Andy Stuart, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line, and the appointment of Harry Sommer, current President, International for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, as Stuart\u2019s successor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stuart will step down from his role on December 31, 2019 and remain with the company as Senior Advisor through March 31, 2020 to ensure a smooth transition. Stuart joined Norwegian in 1988 and held several key executive positions during his tenure of more than three decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cHe will leave on a high note after delivering the brand\u2019s latest ship,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/284081\/norwegian-encore-squeezes-through-the-ems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Norwegian Encore<\/a>, the last ship in the most successful ship class in the company\u2019s history,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;said Frank Del Rio, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThe Board and I are confident that Harry is the right person to succeed Andy as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Norwegian Cruise Line brand and look forward to him leveraging his breadth of knowledge and extensive experience in the industry and our Company to take the brand to new heights,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;Del Rio continued.<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Norwegian Cruise Line has made organizational changes, scheduled to be implemented following the launch of Norwegian Encore, the company\u2019s newest cruise ship.
