{"id":31967,"date":"2022-11-16T21:30:27","date_gmt":"2022-11-16T18:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/valeura-seals-thailand-fso-deal-with-bull\/31967\/"},"modified":"2022-11-16T21:30:27","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T18:30:27","slug":"valeura-seals-thailand-fso-deal-with-bull","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/valeura-seals-thailand-fso-deal-with-bull\/31967\/","title":{"rendered":"Valeura seals Thailand FSO deal with BULL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-before-post\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>Canadian operator Valeura Energy has secured a floating storage and offloading (FSO) unit for the Wassana oilfield in the Gulf of Thailand.<\/p>\n<p>The Calgary-based firm has signed a contract with Indonesia\u2019s Buana Lingas Lautan (BULL) for the charter of the 1999-built post-panamax tanker<br \/>\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color:#00adeb;\" class=\"mt_tooltip\" data-mturl=\"\/en\/ais\/details\/ships\/shipid:211148\/mmsi:636022290\/vessel:211148\" data-info=\"VULA [LR]\" data-photourl=\"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/file\/2022\/11\/Valeura-seals-Thailand-FSO-deal-with-BULL.aspx.jpeg\" data-assetname=\"9176761\" data-assettype=\"IMO number\">Vula<\/span> to be used as the FSO vessel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cValeura and Buana have entered into a letter of award detailing the key heads of agreement and are working to finalise the remaining commercial terms by way of a formal charter agreement,\u201d the company said in its third-quarter earnings presentation.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-in-post-middle\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>The FSO should mobilise to the Wassana field by the end of 2022, pending routine customs clearances and safety inspections.<\/p>\n<p>Valeura said it is targeting oil production in January 2023. An initial oil production rate is expected to be up to 3,000 bbls\/d with an increase of 4,500 bbls\/d targeted as a result of the 2023 infill drilling programme.
