{"id":3184,"date":"2019-10-01T18:02:21","date_gmt":"2019-10-01T15:02:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/?p=3184"},"modified":"2019-10-01T18:02:24","modified_gmt":"2019-10-01T15:02:24","slug":"another-ultramax-joins-eagle-bulks-fleet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/another-ultramax-joins-eagle-bulks-fleet\/3184\/","title":{"rendered":"Another Ultramax Joins Eagle Bulk\u2019s Fleet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>US-based ship owner and operator Eagle Bulk Shipping has taken delivery of the third of six recently acquired Ultramax drybulk vessels.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 78,500 cbm Nautical Jenniffer has been renamed the M\/V Copenhagen Eagle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a scrubber-fitted SDARI-64 Ultramax vessel&nbsp;built at Jiangsu New Hantong Ship Heavy Industry in China in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Announced earlier this year,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/280606\/eagle-bulk-eyes-usd-100-mn-offering-to-fund-ship-purchase\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the acquisition<\/a>&nbsp;of the six scrubber-fitted Ultramaxes is part of the company\u2019s strategy to renew and grow its fleet. It is expected to increase Eagle Bulk\u2019s leverage to the opportunities the IMO 2020 will present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first two bulkers from the batch,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/283079\/eagle-bulk-adds-first-of-six-ultramaxes-to-its-fleet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dublin Eagle<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/283266\/eagle-bulk-welcomes-second-of-six-ultramaxes-to-its-fleet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sydney Eagle<\/a>, were handed over to the company in September 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the three remaining acquisition vessels are delivered, the company\u2019s fleet will total 50 ships, including 20 Ultramax drybulk vessels acquired over the last 36 months.<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>US-based ship owner and operator Eagle Bulk Shipping has taken delivery of the third of six recently acquired Ultramax drybulk vessels.
