{"id":31724,"date":"2022-10-24T04:20:49","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T01:20:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/navig8-takes-csic-leasings-tanker-trio-under-commercial-management\/31724\/"},"modified":"2022-10-24T04:20:49","modified_gmt":"2022-10-24T01:20:49","slug":"navig8-takes-csic-leasings-tanker-trio-under-commercial-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/navig8-takes-csic-leasings-tanker-trio-under-commercial-management\/31724\/","title":{"rendered":"Navig8 takes CSIC Leasing\u2019s tanker trio under commercial management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-before-post\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>Navig8 has taken over the commercial management of CSIC Leasing\u2019s three panamax tankers.<\/p>\n<p>The financial leasing arm of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) has committed the former Eletson ships <em>Antikeros, Dhonoussa<\/em> and <em>Strofades<\/em> to Navig8\u2019s fleet.<\/p>\n<p>The 2006-built <em>Strofades<\/em> was the first vessel to join in July, followed by the 2005-built <em>Dhonoussa<\/em> in September and the 2004-built <em>Antikeros<\/em> earlier this month.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-in-post-middle\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>The ships were part of a sale and leaseback agreement that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/splash247.com\/eletson-inks-sale-leaseback-deal-csic-leasing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eletson<\/a><\/span> arranged with CSIC Leasing in 2017, but the charters were terminated last year under the claim that the Greek owner was behind in lease payments.<\/p>\n<p>In related news, the London-based Navig8 recently launched a new pool for aframaxes older than 15 years. The newly established pool called V8 Plus Pool currently has three Castor Maritime ships under management: the 2005-built <em>Wonder Polaris<\/em> and <em>Wonder Sirius<\/em> and the 2006-built <em>Wonder Bellatrix<\/em>.
