{"id":31487,"date":"2022-09-26T16:40:06","date_gmt":"2022-09-26T13:40:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/ads-maritime-takes-stake-in-mr-pair\/31487\/"},"modified":"2022-09-26T16:40:06","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T13:40:06","slug":"ads-maritime-takes-stake-in-mr-pair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/ads-maritime-takes-stake-in-mr-pair\/31487\/","title":{"rendered":"ADS Maritime takes stake in MR pair"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-before-post\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>Terje Bodin Larsen-led ADS Maritime Holding has continued its comeback by buying into two MR tankers.<\/p>\n<p>The Oslo-listed company said it had acquired a 10% stake in Swiftbulk-owned <em>Swift Omaha<\/em> and United Arab Chemical Carriers (UACC)-owned <em>UOG Sparta<\/em> and will act as a disponent owner with primary responsibility for following up the owning companies\u2019 activities related to the vessels.<\/p>\n<p>The 2010-built <em>Swift Omaha<\/em> will deliver in late October 2022 and renamed <em>UOG Oslo<\/em>. ADS said discussions are underway to employ the vessel on a two-year charter, while the <em>UOG Sparta<\/em>, which will be delivered in the Pacific, will be traded in the spot market.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-in-post-middle\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>ADS made its return earlier this year and has since invested in VLCC, MR and shuttle tanker segments.
