{"id":30162,"date":"2022-05-16T20:46:15","date_gmt":"2022-05-16T17:46:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/aida-cruise-ships-set-to-plug-in-at-port-of-southampton\/30162\/"},"modified":"2022-05-16T20:46:15","modified_gmt":"2022-05-16T17:46:15","slug":"aida-cruise-ships-set-to-plug-in-at-port-of-southampton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/aida-cruise-ships-set-to-plug-in-at-port-of-southampton\/30162\/","title":{"rendered":"AIDA Cruise Ships Set to &#8216;Plug In&#8217; at Port of Southampton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"text\">\n<p>ABP\u2019s Port of Southampton announced on Monday that all three of AIDA Cruises\u2019 ships to visit Southampton this year have been commissioned for shore power at the port<\/p>\n<p>AIDAcosma, AIDAprima and now AIDAsol have all undergone commissioning, meaning that when these cruise ships return to the port, they are able to \u2018plug in\u2019 at Horizon Cruise Terminal or Mayflower Cruise Terminal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s fantastic to be able to facilitate this sustainability milestone for AIDA Cruises,\u201d said Rebekah Keeler, Head of Cruise at ABP. \u201cTo commission three of its ships in such close succession shows real commitment from AIDA Cruises whilst also demonstrating the efficiency of the shore power process at Southampton.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>AIDAcosma was the first of the three ships to be commissioned, shortly after she arrived on her maiden voyage at the end of February.
