{"id":30051,"date":"2022-05-04T22:13:59","date_gmt":"2022-05-04T19:13:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/hafnia-mulls-100m-private-placement\/30051\/"},"modified":"2022-05-04T22:13:59","modified_gmt":"2022-05-04T19:13:59","slug":"hafnia-mulls-100m-private-placement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/hafnia-mulls-100m-private-placement\/30051\/","title":{"rendered":"Hafnia mulls $100m private placement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-before-post\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>Oslo-listed product tanker unit of BW Group, Hafnia, is looking to raise up to $100m in a private placement of new common shares and has engaged SEB Corporate Finance, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken, Clarksons Platou Securities, and Fearnley Securities to assist the company in the process.<\/p>\n<p>The private placement is directed towards Norwegian investors and international institutional investors, with the net proceeds to be used to optimise the company\u2019s debt structure and strengthen the balance sheet as a result of the recent growth, as well as for other general corporate purposes, such as working capital for the new fleet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe recent transactions, which saw us add 44 modern tankers to our fleet, consolidated our position as the world\u2019s leading product and chemical tanker shipping company. The fact that leading institutional investors were willing to receive Hafnia shares as payment, only demonstrates Hafnia\u2019s firm foothold in the market. We have now turned to the market to optimise our capital structure in the wake of these significant transactions,\u201d Mikael Skov, Hafnia CEO explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-in-post-middle\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>The application period commenced on May 4, 2022, and will close on May 5, 2022. The minimum order size in the private placement is a NOK amount equivalent to \u20ac100,000 ($105,460). Hafnia commercially operates a fleet of 247 vessels, including newbuilds, of which 149 are owned or chartered-in.
