{"id":29486,"date":"2022-03-10T23:07:59","date_gmt":"2022-03-10T20:07:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/former-frontline-boss-macleod-set-to-join-norden-board\/29486\/"},"modified":"2022-03-10T23:07:59","modified_gmt":"2022-03-10T20:07:59","slug":"former-frontline-boss-macleod-set-to-join-norden-board","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/former-frontline-boss-macleod-set-to-join-norden-board\/29486\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Frontline boss Macleod set to join Norden board"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-before-post\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>Robert Hvide Macleod, former chief executive of John Fredriksen\u2019s tanker firm Frontline, is set to join the board of directors of Danish shipowner Norden.<\/p>\n<p>He is most likely to replace Tom Intrator, an independent board member since 2017, who has chosen not to stand for re-election later this month.<\/p>\n<p>Macleod was Frontline\u2019s CEO between November 2014 and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/splash247.com\/robert-macleod-steps-down-as-ceo-at-frontline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">October 2020<\/a><\/span>, taking over from Jens Martin Jensen, who recently returned as a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/splash247.com\/jens-martin-jensen-appointed-to-frontline-and-golden-ocean-boards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">board member<\/a><\/span>. Before joining Frontline, Macleod had been with Maersk and Glencore, after which he set up his own company, Highland Tankers.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-in-post-middle\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>Macleod is the current chairman of Hans Hvide &amp; Co and HVPD. He is also a board member at several other companies, including Aquaship, Green Transition Holding and EnergyNest.<\/p>\n<p>Norden\u2019s annual general meeting will take place on March 24.
