{"id":2947,"date":"2019-09-14T11:44:45","date_gmt":"2019-09-14T08:44:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/?p=2947"},"modified":"2019-09-14T11:44:50","modified_gmt":"2019-09-14T08:44:50","slug":"thun-tankers-christens-lng-fueled-ship-in-stockholm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/thun-tankers-christens-lng-fueled-ship-in-stockholm\/2947\/","title":{"rendered":"Thun Tankers Christens LNG-Fueled Ship in Stockholm"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Swedish shipping company Thun Tankers held the naming ceremony for one of its LNG-fueled product\/chemical tanker in Stockholm on September 11.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vessel, that was officially named Thun Venern,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/261661\/erik-thun-takes-delivery-of-third-18000-dwt-lng-fueled-tanker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">was handed over<\/a>&nbsp;to the company in September 2018 after completing sea trials a month earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 18,000 dwt ship was built by China\u2019s shipbuilder Avic Dingheng and is the third from a batch of six Sweden-flagged sister vessels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Powered by natural gas or biogas, the unit was ordered by Thun Tankers together with the Gothia Tanker Alliance partners Furetank and \u00c4lvtank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Gothia Tanker Alliance partners took delivery of eight dual-fueled units so far and currently have four ships on order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dual-fuel vessel design was developed by FKAB together with Furetank and special attention was paid on minimal impact on the environment, with close to 50% reduction of CO2 emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B2TLj2Doevn\/embed\/captioned\/?cr=1&amp;v=12&amp;wp=607&amp;rd=https%3A%2F%2Fworldmaritimenews.com&amp;rp=%2Farchives%2F283093%2Fthun-tankers-christens-lng-fueled-ship-in-stockholm%2F#%7B%22ci%22%3A0%2C%22os%22%3A2201.3800000131596%7D\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" height=\"625\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Swedish shipping company Thun Tankers held the naming ceremony for one of its LNG-fueled product\/chemical tanker in Stockholm on September 11.
