{"id":29241,"date":"2022-02-18T10:42:58","date_gmt":"2022-02-18T07:42:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/management-changes-at-peel-ports\/29241\/"},"modified":"2022-02-18T10:42:58","modified_gmt":"2022-02-18T07:42:58","slug":"management-changes-at-peel-ports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/management-changes-at-peel-ports\/29241\/","title":{"rendered":"Management changes at Peel Ports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-before-post\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>One of the UK\u2019s largest port operators has announced hanges to its senior leadership team, taking effect from April 4.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Tom Allison is standing down but will remain on the board representing shareholder interests of Peel Group as a non-executive director.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Whitworth will stand down as CEO but will assume the role of chairman, overseeing the strategic development and governance of the group.<\/p>\n<p>Claudio Veritiero will take over as new CEO as the group readies to commence a new investment programme across its primary assets.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-in-post-middle\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>Whitworth joined Peel Ports as chief executive in 2010 and over his tenure has led major transformations across the business, including the launch of the Liverpool2 container terminal.<\/p>\n<p>Veritiero joined Peel Ports last year with over 25 years of experience working in the infrastructure, logistics, property development and financing markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPorts are a vital catalyst for the whole economy, not just the supply chain, with a crucial role to play in creating jobs and enabling economic regeneration.
