{"id":29025,"date":"2022-02-01T07:31:06","date_gmt":"2022-02-01T04:31:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/seafarer-training-well-being-at-center-of-inmarsat-ferry-open-challenge\/29025\/"},"modified":"2022-02-01T07:31:06","modified_gmt":"2022-02-01T04:31:06","slug":"seafarer-training-well-being-at-center-of-inmarsat-ferry-open-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/seafarer-training-well-being-at-center-of-inmarsat-ferry-open-challenge\/29025\/","title":{"rendered":"Seafarer Training, Well-Being at center of Inmarsat Ferry Open Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div itemprop=\"text\">\n<p><strong><em>Inmarsat, Attica Group and Thetius have teamed to jointly launched the \u2018Inmarsat Ferry Open Innovation Challenge: Crew Training and Entertainment,&#8217; a competition which inspired start-ups and SMEs to deliver digital solutions to enhance the training or enrich the leisure hours of seafarers.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications are invited for solutions in four work-related areas: ship familiarization, regulatory training, emergency response and customer services \u2013 all of which must support content delivered in Greek, plus a fifth category for solutions serving crew leisure hours.<\/p>\n<p>There is \u00a310,000 prize money at stake, and the three partner: Inmarsat, the global satcom company; Attica Group, the Greek ferry operator; and Thetius, the digital currency provider offer support to implement proof of concept trials onboard a working ferry<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Innovation Challenge is open to initial online submissions until February 28th.
