{"id":28370,"date":"2021-12-06T15:36:56","date_gmt":"2021-12-06T12:36:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/dp-world-withdraws-from-haifa-port-privatisation-bid\/28370\/"},"modified":"2021-12-06T15:36:56","modified_gmt":"2021-12-06T12:36:56","slug":"dp-world-withdraws-from-haifa-port-privatisation-bid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/dp-world-withdraws-from-haifa-port-privatisation-bid\/28370\/","title":{"rendered":"DP World withdraws from Haifa port privatisation bid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content entry clearfix\">\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-before-post\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>Dubai-headquartered port operator DP World has retired from the race to take over Israel\u2019s Haifa port, one of the largest infrastructure tenders currently taking place in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The state-owned firm entered the tender in partnership with Shlomi Fogel-controlled Israel Shipyards Company, which is now looking to move forward alone or with another partner.<\/p>\n<p>The withdrawal from the tender was confirmed by Israel\u2019s Government Companies Authority after a reported hearing last month held by the Ministry of Finance in which it was decided not to approve the initial joint offer for security reasons.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mailmunch-forms-in-post-middle\" style=\"display: none !important;\"><\/div>\n<p>DP World said in a statement that is had decided not to enter the tender for economic reasons. \u201cWe are constantly exploring opportunities and evaluating their feasibility in the process.
