{"id":2577,"date":"2019-08-18T08:31:14","date_gmt":"2019-08-18T05:31:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/?p=2577"},"modified":"2019-08-18T08:31:31","modified_gmt":"2019-08-18T05:31:31","slug":"exxonmobil-hires-singapores-1st-lng-fueled-bunker-tanker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/exxonmobil-hires-singapores-1st-lng-fueled-bunker-tanker\/2577\/","title":{"rendered":"ExxonMobil Hires Singapore\u2019s 1st LNG-Fueled Bunker Tanker"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>ExxonMobil Asia Pacific has signed a 2-year time charter deal for Singapore\u2019s first LNG-powered bunker tanker with Sinanju Tankers Holdings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the deal, the 7,990 dwt newbuilding, to be named Marine Vicky, will be committed to delivering ExxonMobil\u2019s EMF.5\u2122 Engineered Marine Fuels to ocean-going vessels within Singapore port limits from the first quarter of 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Featuring a length of 103 meters, the Marine Vicky is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/249063\/keppel-to-build-singapores-1st-dual-fuel-bunker-tanker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">being built<\/a>&nbsp;at Keppel Offshore &amp; Marine\u2019s shipyard in Nantong, China. The vessel will join Sinanju\u2019s 13-vessel bunker fleet in December 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cAs responsible stakeholders of the maritime industry, we are stepping up to promote the use of LNG as a sustainable alternative marine fuel to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and we encourage more of such bunker tankers to operate in Singapore,\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>Ju Kai Meng, Managing Director of Sinanju, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the Maritime Singapore Green Port Programme, registered vessels that are serviced by alternative or cleaner marine fuelled harbour crafts during their port stay \u2013 such as receiving bunker from LNG-powered bunker tankers \u2013 stand to receive a 10 per cent port dues concession.<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ExxonMobil Asia Pacific has signed a 2-year time charter deal for Singapore\u2019s first LNG-powered bunker tanker with Sinanju Tankers Holdings.
