{"id":2474,"date":"2019-07-27T05:35:24","date_gmt":"2019-07-27T05:35:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/?p=2474"},"modified":"2019-07-27T05:35:26","modified_gmt":"2019-07-27T05:35:26","slug":"k-line-receives-second-corona-class-unit-in-one-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/k-line-receives-second-corona-class-unit-in-one-month\/2474\/","title":{"rendered":"K Line Receives Second Corona-Class Unit in One Month"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Japanese ship owner Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) has received its second Corona-class coal carrier in a single month.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 88,000 dwt Corona Zenith was handed over to K Line by Imabari Shipbuilding\u2019s Marugame Shipyard on July 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The other unit in the class delivered this month,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/worldmaritimenews.com\/archives\/279904\/k-line-expands-fleet-with-latest-corona-class-coal-carrier\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Corona Dynamic<\/a>, was built by Oshima Shipbuilding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Corona-series have a wide beam and a shallow draft, making them suitable to enter ports of domestic thermal power stations to discharge cargo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Featuring a length of 229.9 meters and a beam of 38 meters, the Corona Zenith has a full draft of 13.9 meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The July 25 delivery brought the number of Corona-series ships in K Line\u2019s fleet to 22.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Japanese ship owner Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) has received its second Corona-class coal carrier in a single month.
