{"id":2399,"date":"2019-07-19T09:30:39","date_gmt":"2019-07-19T09:30:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/?p=2399"},"modified":"2019-07-19T09:30:42","modified_gmt":"2019-07-19T09:30:42","slug":"hoegh-lng-time-charters-fsru-to-us-lng-exporter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/hoegh-lng-time-charters-fsru-to-us-lng-exporter\/2399\/","title":{"rendered":"H\u00f6egh LNG time charters FSRU to US LNG exporter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Norway\u2019s H\u00f6egh LNG Holdings Ltd has entered into an interim time charter for the floating storage regasification unit&nbsp;<em>H\u00f6egh Galleon<\/em>&nbsp;with Houston-based Cheniere Marketing International<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The time charter commences in September 2019 after the LNG carrier is delivered from South Korea\u2019s Samsung Heavy Industries Co.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to H\u00f6egh LNG, the terms of the time charter ensure&nbsp;<em>H\u00f6egh Galleon<\/em>\u2019s availability to serve the AIE project in Port Kembla, Australia, where H\u00f6egh LNG is the FSRU provider on a back-to-back basis. AIE recently announced a contract to supply gas to its foundation customer from 1 January 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the contract with Cheniere,&nbsp;<em>H\u00f6egh Galleon<\/em>&nbsp;will earn a fixed daily charter rate. The vessel has an overall length of 297 m, beam of 43 m and capacity of 170,000 m<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H\u00f6egh LNG president and chief executive Sveinung St\u00f8hle said, \u201cThis charter party will cover the period from delivery of&nbsp;<em>H\u00f6egh Galleon<\/em>&nbsp;until its planned start-up in Port Kembla. Combined with a finalised AIE contract and the project\u2019s FID,&nbsp;<em>H\u00f6egh Galleon<\/em>&nbsp;will have long-term contract coverage in line with HLNG\u2019s stated strategy.
