{"id":2368,"date":"2019-07-17T03:47:38","date_gmt":"2019-07-17T03:47:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/?p=2368"},"modified":"2019-07-17T03:47:40","modified_gmt":"2019-07-17T03:47:40","slug":"qatargas-ships-3000th-lng-cargo-to-japan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/qatargas-ships-3000th-lng-cargo-to-japan\/2368\/","title":{"rendered":"Qatargas Ships 3000th LNG Cargo to Japan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Doha-based liquefied natural gas company Qatargas has set another milestone as it successfully delivered the 3,000<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;LNG cargo to Japan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cargo was transported onboard Al Jasra, a conventional LNG vessel with a capacity of 135,000 cubic meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was delivered to the Kawagoe LNG Receiving Terminal, owned and operated by JERA, a joint venture between Chubu Electric and Tokyo Electric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in January 1997, the first-ever Qatari shipment was delivered to the abovementioned terminal in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe are delighted to celebrate the 3000<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;LNG delivery to Japan. This significant milestone comes over two decades following the first delivery to our foundation customer in Japan,\u201d&nbsp;<\/em>Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, President &amp; CEO of Qatar Petroleum, commented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cQatargas\u2019 commitment to serving Japan\u2019s energy needs has never been stronger. This delivery demonstrates Qatargas\u2019 commitment to continue providing Japan, and all of our customers around the globe, with a safe and reliable source of clean energy,\u201d \u200b<\/em>Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chief Executive Officer of Qatargas, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qatargas has term contracts to supply LNG with many of the key Japanese buyers.
