{"id":2352,"date":"2019-07-14T06:04:53","date_gmt":"2019-07-14T06:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/?p=2352"},"modified":"2019-07-14T06:04:56","modified_gmt":"2019-07-14T06:04:56","slug":"record-lng-bunkering-for-dual-fuel-crane-ship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/record-lng-bunkering-for-dual-fuel-crane-ship\/2352\/","title":{"rendered":"Record LNG bunkering for dual-fuel crane ship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Supplying over 3,000 tonnes of LNG, Amsterdam-based Titan LNG completed the largest LNG bunkering to date for Dutch marine contractor Heerema Marine Contractors\u2019 new dual-fuel crane ship&nbsp;<em>Sleipnir<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rivieramm.com\/news-content-hub\/new-structures-require-larger-heavy-lift-crane-vessels-55347\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The world\u2019s largest semi-submersible crane vessel<\/a>&nbsp;with a length overall of 220 m and beam of 102 m,&nbsp;<em>Sleipnir<\/em>&nbsp;was built by Sembcorp Marine in Singapore and delivered to Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC).&nbsp;<em>Sleipner<\/em>&nbsp;has 12 four-stroke MAN 8L51\/60DF engines that can burn either low-sulphur marine gas oil (MGO) or LNG. The vessel can carry about 8,000 m<sup>3<\/sup>&nbsp;of LNG in an IMO Type-C LNG fuel tank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Titan LNG chief executive Niels den Nijs said, \u201cIt was a complex project to supply this eight-legged innovative crane vessel&nbsp;<em>Sleipner<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr den Nijs said Pavilion Gas, SLNG, Anthony Veder and Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement supported the operation. \u201cTitan LNG looks forward to supplying Heerema with more LNG in the future to fulfil our mission of lowering harmful emissions of the marine and industrial sector\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HMC chief executive Koos-Jan van Brouwershaven said sustainability was part of the company\u2019s DNA and that \u201cthis specific project of bunkering LNG is proof of this ambition. We are very pleased to work together with Dutch Company Titan LNG, since it provided us with good solutions for bunkering, in Singapore as well as in Spain\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Titan LNG chartered Anthony Vedder Group\u2019s small-scale LNG carrier&nbsp;<em>Coral Fraseri<\/em>&nbsp;for the refuelling.
