According to a spokesperson for NNPC, the blast caused &quot;significant damage&quot; to the vessel, and it will affect production at the field&#039;s early production facility by about 10,000 barrels per day.<\/p>\n<p>Kennie Obateru, NNPC&#039;s general manager for public affairs, said in a statement that there were no fatalities or injuries and no significant pollution from the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The Gbetiokun onshore field was first appraised in the early 1990s, but it was not developed until Eland Oil drilled the first development wells in 2018-19.
