{"id":20354,"date":"2020-10-29T13:50:02","date_gmt":"2020-10-29T10:50:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/zvezda-tags-gtt-for-arctic-lng-carrier-tanks-design\/20354\/"},"modified":"2020-10-29T13:50:02","modified_gmt":"2020-10-29T10:50:02","slug":"zvezda-tags-gtt-for-arctic-lng-carrier-tanks-design","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/zvezda-tags-gtt-for-arctic-lng-carrier-tanks-design\/20354\/","title":{"rendered":"Zvezda tags GTT for Arctic LNG carrier tanks design"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>French liquefied natural gas containment systems specialist GTT has secured a new order for its tank design. <\/strong><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><figcaption>Courtesy of GTT\/Roland Mouron<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The company has been contracted by the Russian shipyard, Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex to design tanks for ten ARC7 ice-breaking LNG carriers. <\/p>\n<p>While GTT did not unveil the name of the shipowner, Zvezda has previously been contracted to build 10 of these vessels for Sovcomflot. <\/p>\n<p>Each vessel will offer a capacity of 172,600 cubic meters of LNG.<\/p>\n<p>GTT will design the tanks of the vessels, which will be fitted with the Mark III membrane containment system.
