Specifically, the companies will be working on a program called Sea Train.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>DARPA explains \u00a0the Sea Train program on its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.darpa.mil\/program\/sea-train\">website<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The contract awards follow news last week <a href=\"https:\/\/gcaptain.com\/u-s-navy-awards-contracts-to-study-large-unmanned-surface-vessels\/\">awarded contracts<\/a> totaling nearly $42 million to six companies to study adding large unmanned vessels to the U.S. Navy fleet.
