{"id":13921,"date":"2020-07-20T17:01:42","date_gmt":"2020-07-20T14:01:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/anthony-veder-takes-delivery-of-new-lng-carrier\/13921\/"},"modified":"2020-07-20T17:01:42","modified_gmt":"2020-07-20T14:01:42","slug":"anthony-veder-takes-delivery-of-new-lng-carrier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.al-sindbad.net\/anthony-veder-takes-delivery-of-new-lng-carrier\/13921\/","title":{"rendered":"Anthony Veder takes delivery of new LNG carrier"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dutch gas shipping company Anthony Veder has last week taken the delivery of a 30,000-cbm LNG carrier from China&#8217;s Zhejiang Xinle Shipbuilding in Ningbo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.offshorewind.biz\/file\/sites\/6\/2020\/07\/20102307\/Anthony-Veder-takes-delivery-of-new-LNG-carrier-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Anthony Veder takes delivery of new LNG carrier\" class=\"wp-image-376045\" \/><figcaption>Image: Anthony Veder<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The carrier in question is the dual-fueled Coral Encanto primarily operating on LNG with the option to switch to conventional marine fuels.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Veder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offshore-energy.biz\/anthony-veder-expanding-lng-carrier-fleet\/\">announced<\/a> the purchase of the 181.3 meters long vessel with type C tanks from Xinle in April 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Dutch company said then the vessel would be operational for worldwide trading in the summer of 2019.<\/p>\n<p>LNG World News (now part of Offshore Energy) contacted Anthony Veder for a comment.<\/p>\n<p>We did not receive a response by the time this article was published.<\/p>\n<div class=\"inc-core-heading\">\n<h3>A 7-year-old development<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p>China&#8217;s Zhejiang Yuanhe Ocean Shipping ordered the small-scale carrier in 2013 subsequently wining a long-term charter contract with CNPC for coastal LNG transportation.<\/p>\n<p>Local media reports suggest the order had a price tag of 650 million yuan ($93 million).<\/p>\n<p>TGE Marine supplied the vessels&#8217; bilobe tanks while Wartsila delivered the dual-fueled engines. <\/p>\n<p>The ship originally named Yuan He 1 was scheduled to start operations in 2015, but the owner reportedly faced financial problems and declined to take the delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Xinle took over the full control of the vessel and renamed it Xin Le 30 in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Veder did not reveal how much it paid for the LNG carrier.<\/p>\n<p>VesselsValue data suggests the ship is worth about $51 million.<\/p>\n<p>The post <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.offshore-energy.biz\/anthony-veder-takes-delivery-of-new-lng-carrier\/\">Anthony Veder takes delivery of new LNG carrier<\/a> appeared first on <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.offshore-energy.biz\">Offshore Energy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>world maritime news<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dutch gas shipping company Anthony Veder has last week taken the delivery of a 30,000-cbm LNG carrier from China&#8217;s Zhejiang Xinle Shipbuilding in Ningbo.
