The PCTCs will have a length overall of 169m, width of 28m and capacity for 3,600 cars on ten cargo decks, of which two are hoistable. Additionally they will have a quarter ramp of 160 tonnes safe working load and a side ramp of 20 tonnes safe working load and can accommodate cargo units up to 5.2m high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The carriers will meet the Tier 3 IMO NOx emission targets coming into force from 2021 and, to meet 2021 CO2 reduction regulations, the vessels will be equipped with dual-fuel LNG engines for main propulsion and auxiliaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To cut CO2 emissions further, the vessels will also be equipped with battery packages and UECC aims to use carbon neutral and synthetic fuels as part of its future fuel mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
