MAK MIDDLE EAST TURBOCHARGER VENTURE WINS CUSTOMER SUPPORT

MaK Middle East, part of the Caterpillar group, launched its Dubai Maritime City (DMC) workshop last year, and is now offering a comprehensive range of turbocharger maintenance, overhaul, repair, upgrading and modification services. The company, which has also set up a branch office in Fujairah, reports this initiative has since met with an “enthusiastic” response from clients, generating high levels of business.

To date the company has injected around AED 1.5 million (US$ 0.41 million) into the Dubai facility to establish a new turbocharger servicing centre catering for demand across the region. This includes a Schenck rotor balancing machine, scissor lifting tables and other tools. Along with the investment in state of the art machinery at its facility, the company emphasizes the importance of investment in its service team. MaK Middle East has also put in place logistics support for exchange units with Saudi Arabia and other nearby countries.

MaK Middle East’s turbocharger service engineers and technicians are all manufacturer trained and schooled in servicing a range of different turbochargers. Alan Naisby, Managing Director of MaK Middle East and MaK Asia, says, “Although it has only been a short time since our inception, our customers have made it vocally known that they are appreciative of the proficiency of our service support. That said, we are committed to ensuring our customers throughout the MENA region continue to rely on us to keep their turbochargers running efficiently at all times.”
